Automation is a powerful tool that allows you to schedule and send cards automatically for occasions such as:
Birthdays
New hire welcomes
Work anniversaries
Custom workflows through Zapier (with 8,000+ app connections)
Important Reminder
Before setting up automation, ensure your corporate gifting account has a sufficient gift balance. Automation requires a balance in order to send gifts.
Setting Up Automation with Givingli
1. Add to Your Gifting Balance
Before setting up automation, make sure you have an active Gifting Balance.
Open the Givingli website on your desktop.
Click your profile icon → Settings.
Go to Plan and Billing.
Under Gifting Balance, click Add Funds.
Enter your credit or debit card details and save.
(Optional) Toggle on Auto Recharge to automatically refill your balance when it runs low.
2. Open the Automation Tab
Go to the Automation tab in Givingli.
Select Use Givingli to start a new automated gifting campaign.
3. Set Campaign Details
Campaign Name: Give it a clear title (e.g., “Q4 Client Appreciation”).
Sender Name: Choose the name recipients will see.
Send Date: Pick when gifts should be sent.
Gift Amount: Set the amount per recipient.
Givingli Cash Skin: Choose a design/theme for the digital gift balance.
4. Customize the Card
Select a card design.
Add a message, branding, or personalization.
5. Add Recipients
Upload or enter recipient details (emails, names, etc.).
Review the list carefully, then click Save & Continue.
6. Finalize & Activate
Review all campaign details.
Click Save and Activate to launch your automation.
Important reminders
On the scheduled date, gifts will be charged to your Gifting Balance.
If your balance doesn’t have enough funds, you’ll receive an email notification to replenish it.
Setting Up Automation with Zapier
1. Add to your Gifting balance

2. Create a Zapier Campaign in Givingli
Open the Automation tab in Givingli.
Select Zapier Campaign.
3. Set Campaign Details

Send Date: Schedule when gifts will be sent.
Gift Amount: Set the amount per recipient.
Givingli Cash Skin: Choose a design/theme for the digital gift balance.
4. Connect to Zapier
Click the option to Launch Zapier (a new tab will open).
Log into your Zapier account.
Copy your API key from Givingli and paste it into Zapier.
Copy your Campaign Name from Givingli and paste it into Zapier.
Configure your recipients in Zapier and set the desired triggers.
Save your Zap and return to Givingli.
5. Finalize & Activate
Review your campaign details in Givingli.
Click Save and Activate to launch your Zapier campaign.
Important Notes
