How-to Manage Contacts and Groups

To Bulk add contacts and create groups within your address book:

1. Select contacts from your navigation bar.
2. Select upload contacts
3. Select download template in the top left
4. Once template is downloaded, add your contact info and be sure to fill out areas highlighted* 
   
   • To organize your contacts by groups(ex. Operation team, CSR team, Management teams) be sure to fill out the groups column on the CSV template. 
5. Once you csv file is ready, upload or drag and drop onto site.
6. Once successful, be sure to select save as this is crucial for storing your contacts!

If there is any errors upon uploading:

• Select review errors
• user must have either a phone number or email
• user first name and last name must be in separate columns
• the email must have “@” and a period (name@example.com)
• the phone number should be exactly 10 digits with no spaces or special characters
• the first name can only include letters and certain characters like hyphens or apostrophes
• the last name can only include letters and certain characters like hyphens or apostrophes
• the birthday must be in mm/dd/yy format (Givingli will only add the Month and Day)

Managing groups

Groups can be added two ways 

• You can create customizable groups by filling out the groups column on the CSV template 
• Groups can be added from the Contacts page, simply select contacts, and then select add to group.
